The fisherman in harmony with the sky and the sea. Harry Haerendel’s old portrait of a fisherman with a pipe stood as the perfect inspiration to this painting. The story behind the painting is the connection between that old Harry Haerendel painting and my Danish friend Christoffer’s obsession with fishing and all that goes with it.
The portrait sits in a calm blue, telling a story of the harmony the fisherman finds when he is connected with his elements; the sea and the fishing rod. All the time in the world. All alone. And nothing can bother him.
